Sundance Industry Office
Since its debut in 2005, the Sundance Industry Office (SIO) has provided accredited members with the necessary tools and resources to navigate one of the world’s most dynamic festival markets and further a range of creative goals. Each year, more than 1800 members of the independent film industry attend the Sundance Film Festival from all over the world.
Prior to the Festival, SIO members have the opportunity to register to purchase SIO Festival passes and ticket bundles. These are the only products available for sale that include access to Press & Industry screenings. During the Festival, members continue to enjoy exclusive services through our office at Festival Headquarters and online.

Industry Registration for the 2025 Sundance Film Festival (January 23 – February 2, 2025) is expected to open in the autumn of 2024.
Registration options are offered to returning SIO members who attended Sundance 2024 with SIO accreditation.

All current members will receive a link to SIO’s private sale via email when registration opens. SIO products are not listed with general sale items on the festival site.

Festival Dates
The 2025 Sundance Film Festival will take place January 23 – February 2 in Utah, and January 29 – February 2 online for Press & Industry professionals (one day earlier than public online access, which runs January 30 – February 2).
In celebration of the 40th edition of the Festival, we’re starting screenings around noon Mountain Time on Thursday, January 18, and premiere screenings will continue all the way through Tuesday, January 23. So this is the year to arrive early and stay longer to catch all the excitement of the anniversary edition!
Festival Awards will be presented during the day on Friday, January 26, with additional screenings of award winners taking place over the Festival’s second weekend. And for those staying through Friday, January 26, there will be special 40th anniversary offerings like screenings, panels, and special guests!
Festival Format for SIO Attendees
The 2025 Sundance Film Festival will take place January 23 – February 2 in Utah, and January 29 – February 2 online for accredited Press & Industry professionals.
- Park City film premieres begin at noon local time on Thursday, January 23 and premiere screenings continue through Tuesday, January 28.
- Press & Industry Screenings begin the afternoon of Thursday, January 23 and continue through Thursday, January 30.
- Screenings in Salt Lake City begin Friday, January 24.
- Repeat screenings will be presented in Park City and Salt Lake City through the end of the Festival.
- Beyond Film talks and panels will take place in-person through Friday, January 31.
- Competition feature films screen online for SIO pass holders from Wednesday, January 29 through Sunday, February 2 (online public screenings begin Thursday, January 30).
- Festival awards will be presented on Friday, January 31.
In-Person Press & Industry Screenings (January 23 - 30)
Feature films will have a Press & Industry screening, normally scheduled within 24 hours of their Park City premiere. P&I screenings are an excellent opportunity for professional attendees to see films in sections like Premieres and Midnight, which are not guaranteed to screen online, as well as competition films (which have both in-person and online screenings). P&I screenings do not include introductions or Q&As with film teams.
Online Press & Industry Screenings (January 29 - February 2)
Feature films in competition sections (US Dramatic, US Documentary, World Cinema Dramatic, World Cinema Documentary, NEXT) will be available online for SIO-accredited industry viewers. Short films, Episodic selections, and additional features may opt in for online screenings.
Online screenings are available to SIO viewers on demand for the full five days of the online program (one view per title per pass).
SIO Passes
SIO passes are designed for attendees to enjoy the energy and community of in-person screenings, with an online “catch up” window in the second half of the Festival. A small number of online-only passes will also be available.
SIO Express passes include priority entrance to in-person screenings (including premieres) and Press & Industry screenings in Park City. Passes are available at the Express level for the full festival, first half (January 23 – 28), or second half (January 29 – February 2). All SIO Express passes also include online VOD viewing of competition feature films January 29 – February 2.
The SIO Industry Bundle combines an SIO Industry Pass: Hybrid with 10 tickets to in-person screenings. Tickets may be selected before Festival Package holders make selections or single tickets go on sale, giving Bundle holders the best chance at securing tickets to the most popular premieres.
SIO Industry Passes are centered around Press & Industry screenings. The Hybrid option provides first-come first-served entrance to in-person P&I screenings January 23 – 30, and online VOD viewing of competition feature films January 29 – February 2. The SIO Industry Pass: Online covers those five days of online programming for industry professionals unable to join us in Utah.
Further details about pass and bundle benefits will be provided here prior to Early Registration opening on Tuesday, October 1.

Projects Screening Online for Press & Industry
Screening Schedule for Press & Industry
Three tabs display Park City public screenings and P&I screenings combined, Salt Lake City public screenings, and Online screenings for accredited Press and Industry viewers. Download a copy or use a temporary filter view to sort based on your own criteria. Note that all screening times are displayed in Mountain Time. Films assigned to P&I TBA slots are added to the schedule as they are confirmed.
How-to-Festival for SIO Passes
Your SIO Pass grants access to the professional P&I screening platform “My Viewing Room”, which is separate from the online experience for public viewers. No reservations or advance ticket selections are required for Online P&Is, and accredited Industry viewers are not limited by capacity caps (online screenings marked as Sold Out on festival.sundance.org do not apply to your pass type!) To take advantage of these exclusive benefits you must be logged in with your Industry credentials and have an active SIO Pass attached to your account.
- Your pass allows for one view per feature film or Episodic piece.
- Remember the 5-hour watch window: from the moment you begin watching a feature film or episodic selection you have five hours to complete that screening.
- You can only be logged into your account on one device at a time.
- Online P&Is are available globally for professional (accredited press and industry) viewers.

SIO Refund Policy
Refunds and exchanges are not permitted except as set forth below and at Sundance Institute’s sole discretion.
- SIO passes and the SIO Industry Bundle are refundable through December 15, 2023. Refund requests should be sent to sio@sundance.org.
- If the in-person portion of the Festival is canceled:
- Attendees who have purchased a hybrid SIO pass at the Express level will receive a refund of the Pass price, or can elect to exchange the hybrid Express pass for an online SIO Industry Pass and receive a refund of the price difference.
- Attendees who have purchased an SIO Industry Bundle will receive a refund of the Bundle price, or can elect to exchange the Bundle for an online SIO Industry Pass and receive a refund of the price difference.
- Attendees who have purchased a hybrid SIO Industry Pass will receive a refund of the Pass price, or can elect to exchange the hybrid pass for an online SIO Industry Pass and receive a refund of the price difference.
- If the entire Festival is postponed or canceled, all package, pass, bundle, and ticket holders will receive a refund of the product price.
Refunds will be issued to the credit card account used to make the purchase (even if the ticketing product was subsequently transferred). Please note that service fees will not be refunded.
Rights List
The Rights List includes all the feature titles selected for the Festival along with the sales company information that has been shared with SIO to date.
Public Contact List
The Public Contact List provides contact information for each Festival film and project that opted to share contacts. For the most up-to-date contact information, please refer to each film’s page in the online program guide.
