Cheers, we’re a week out from Day One of the 2014 Sundance Film Festival! As we round out our annual ‘How to Fest’ series, we’ve once again tapped into the acumen of Sundance alumni to impart their knowledge. Looking for the best options for dinner and drinks in Park City? Below we serve up some Festival favorites for those seeking nourishment.
David Lowery (Ain’t Them Bodies Saints)
“If you are vegan or vegetarian, one of the best places to eat is Squatters, which is across from the Yarrow and which has a good vegan breakfast, among other meat-free options. There is also Booster Juice, near Prospector and Festival HQ, which has vegan baked goods and soups. If you don’t have time to sit down and eat, you should go to the Whole Foods near the Redstone Cinemas and stock up on energy bars and other good-to-go snacks.”
Katie Aselton (Black Rock; The Puffy Chair)
“I feel like Main Street restaurants are always packed, but you can always get a table at Squatters (on Park on your way into town). The food is good and the beer is great. There’s also great sushi on Main St and a bizarro little Vietnamese place called Taste of Saigon that’s good.”
Also, check out these sponsor venues for hydration and pick-me-ups throughout the Festival.
Keeping You Hydrated
Brita ® FilterForGood ® is back for the sixth year to help reduce waste and keep you hydrated in the high altitudes of Park City! Be sure to pick up your free reusable Nalgene® bottle and fill it up with Brita® filtered water at hydration stations throughout the Festival. Remember, you need to drink more water at high altitudes, so aim to refill 6 to 8 times per day to acclimate to the elevation. To learn more on the health benefits of water, “like” Brita® FilterForGood® on Facebook.
