I Am Not a Hipster
Chris Horton, Associate Director, #ArtistServices
Beginning Tuesday, new Sundance titles will be available on iTunes via our #ArtistServices platform, which gives filmmakers unprecedented control and revenue splits. You can preorder them now, here www.itunes.com/sundance.
With our inaugural NEXT WEEKEND Festival happening, er, this weekend, the timing is great. Previous titles from our NEXT section are available on iTunes, including I Am Not a Hipster, to.get.her, and New Low.
Among the titles making their digital debuts, TV Junkie, winner of the Special Jury Prize at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, is among the most powerful and moving documentaries we’ve ever played. It’s an incredibly personal tale of addiction that, like all great stories, regardless of tone or theme, takes the viewer on a meaningful journey to unexpected and unforgettable places.
Finally, in honor Madeleine Olnek’s The Foxy Merkins making its world premiere at NEXT WEEKEND, we’re proud to have released her debut feature, Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same. It’s a comedy that typifies the spirit of NEXT, and the originality of Sundance.
Thanks to Apple for helping make these movies fulfill our mission of connecting independent artists to audiences.
