With two days of full program reveals, the Fest is looking brighter than ever.
It’s been another long, strange trip around the sun, but here we are, right back at the season of reflection and giving. A fitting vibe considering that, we’re so honored to gift our community the first look at the 2022 Film Festival lineup — an exciting and vast collection of thought-provoking independent storytelling.
And while you might have written “new sweater” on your holiday list, we’ve got you covered with something even better: a new perspective on life and how to exist in this world.
“This year’s program reflects the unsettling and uncertain times we’ve been living in for the past year and a half,” explains Kim Yutani, the Festival’s director of programming. “The artists in the program, through their bold and innovative storytelling, and their sheer determination to create work in this moment, challenge us to look at the world through different lenses and examine and reevaluate how these stories impact us now and in the future.”
The 14 program categories featured (U.S. Dramatic Competition, U.S. Documentary Competition, World Cinema Dramatic Competition, World Cinema Documentary Competition, Premieres, Spotlight, NEXT, Midnight, Indie Episodic Program, New Frontier, Kids, From the Collection, Special Screenings, Short Film Program) are bursting with new classics, change-makers, and conversation starters.
Also, don’t forget to register now for an online account for up-to-the-minute information about the Festival and the ability to build your film schedule before packages go on sale on December 17 (December 15 if you’re a member!).
