As we gear up for the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, we’re getting nostalgic for Fests past. Not only because this upcoming edition of the Festival is our 40th, but also because we’ve been a part of a lot of brilliant artistic moments. As former Festival Director John Cooper says in the video below, “cinematic history.” That’s the perfect way to describe this rewind moment to the premiere of Richard Linklater’s Boyhood.
Nearly a decade ago the Sundance Festival alum and his cast — Ethan Hawke, Patricia Arquette, Lorelai Linklater, and Ellar Coltrane — hit the stage for their unique film that was shot over the course of 12 years. Below you can watch that moment of cinematic history and listen to Hawke, Linklater, and company talk about the filming process and the joy it was to become a family on set.
To be part of one of these historic moments for yourself, join us this January either in person in Utah or from your home.
